I have been trying this year to learn a little bit more about British butterflies, the summer is rapidly passing but I have just managed to bag another. I have seen plenty out on my walks around ‘the park’ but getting a photo of them on my phone hasn’t always been easy.
I saw this one yesterday in the walled gardens at temple Newsam, I believe it is Aglais urticae or ‘Small Tortoiseshell’
