What a month! the weather has been kind and my trips to ‘the park’ have been great fun. The whole idea of a year-long photo journal has worn a bit thin recently. However here I am with just three months to go until, well I might as well tell you we are having a picnic. The other half doesn’t know it yet but New Years Eve on that grey and cold last day of December day, a little celebration as I take photo number 300. I suppose I am though as always getting a little ahead of myself back for now to August.
I wasn’t looking forward to the summer at Temple Newsam as it can get so busy, being put to so many different uses but it has been just fine. As I hope my photographs show. In fact I have met some really nice people on my walks around the park and gardens who like me have enthused about how this is such a wonderful facility for the city of Leeds. As well as long conversations about dogs!
So here are ‘the best of the rest’ of my photographs from August with three of my favourite months for being outdoors still to look forward to.
