When I first started this photo journal at Temple Newsam Park near Leeds ten months ago I was a little worried about showing too many photos of the same thing.
The house is a good example, this wonderful Grade 1 listed building lies at the heart of ‘the park’ and is very well protected and preserved. I seem to be more concerned with the edges and quieter neglected corners where the city is slowly but surely encroaching on this wonderful slice of countryside.
Before I digress too far this is my way of explaining why I am featuring yet another image of Temple Newsam House and stable block but why wouldn’t I. Today was the first day of an autumn school holiday here in the UK so I set off fairly early for my stroll and it was delightful. A whole section of woodland to myself and then upon leaving the wood I rounded a corner to this view. A pleasant way to begin the week after an odd sort of weekend!
