Can you ever get tired of visiting your favourite park with friends, family or beloved pets. The answer of course should be a resounding no.
However when you set yourself a challenge to photograph the said park over a twelve month period in three hundred photographs! Well the enthusiasm can slip a little. Today was such a day, with many things to do and little time to do them.
My walk in the wind and rain showers around ‘the park’ was therefore a little rushed. I am of course glad I went to Temple Newsam as I saw this rainbow. For some strange reason I found myself quite disproportionately excited by it!
The gates in the foreground are the Sphinx Gates that were originally built-in another area of Temple Newsam around 1760. They were built as part of the original landscaping of the park by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown and are grade 2 listed structures.
