I promise some colour coming soon to my strolls around ‘the park’. For now though more of the same, moody autumnal mornings at Temple Newsam. That’ll be me I hear people cry, not the park!
Today’s image is the grade two listed bridge built-in 1714 over Avenue Ponds. In 2012 it was on The Leeds Civic Trust list of structures at risk through neglect or decay. I am not sure if anything has been done to preserve this structure for another three hundred years. The neglect and decay are very apparent on close inspection. The bridge is owned by Leeds City Council.
