My photo today from ‘the park’ was taken near to the entrance of Temple Newsam Walled Gardens. Not much is flowering around the estate at this time of the year.
Jasminium nudiflorum or ‘Winter Jasmine’ can be relied upon to give a nice show of its pretty yellow flowers in all but the coldest weather. Despite what we sometimes think, we are very lucky here in the UK. With a little careful planning gardening with flowers to show for it, is an all year possibility. In all but the very coldest winters, which really don’t come around too often!
Today was wet, mild and grey outdoors so a little colour heading towards the end of December seemed a good idea.
